The combination of a 1/2-inch sensor, f/1.8 aperture, HDR, PDAF autofocus and 4K/30fps video gives the Meet Flip considerably more camera hardware than its tiny body would suggest.
Design
The first thing you’ll notice about the Meet Flip isn’t the image quality. It’s the size.
This is an exceptionally small webcam. The camera folds into its body when it isn’t being used, making it easy to store in a laptop bag or even a small accessory pouch. At roughly 37.7g, it is significantly easier to carry around than most conventional 4K webcams.
But the folding mechanism serves another purpose.

One interesting decision with the Meet Flip is whether to use its maximum 4K resolution or switch to 1080p at 60fps. For normal video calls, 4K/30fps is the better choice if your computer and application support it. The additional resolution gives you more detail and allows some flexibility when cropping the image.
For streaming, gaming or situations where movement is more important, 1080p/60fps makes more sense. That gives the Meet Flip more flexibility than a webcam that simply stops at 4K/30fps.
Autofocus and framing
The Meet Flip uses PDAF autofocus, helping it lock onto your face quickly rather than constantly hunting for focus. That matters when you’re leaning toward the camera, moving back in your chair or holding something up to the lens.

Microphone Quality

The interesting part is that the Meet Flip isn’t necessarily a huge image-quality upgrade over the Meet 2. Instead, you’re buying better convenience. The folding privacy mechanism, smaller overall package and redesigned form factor make the Flip more attractive if you’re buying a new webcam specifically for a laptop or travel setup.
Is the OBSBOT Meet Flip good for streaming?
Yes, with some qualifications. The 4K/30fps mode gives you plenty of detail, while 1080p/60fps is better suited to fast-moving content. The webcam also works with popular computer applications and streaming workflows as a conventional USB camera.
